We have been asked to use this prayer every day during our vacancy.......
God our Father, you have welcomed each one of us in Jesus and called us to be his body in this place.
Send us your Holy Spirit at this time of uncertainty and change
to fill us with vision,energy and faithfulness in prayer that we may
be true to our calling to bring new life to our community;
and guide with your heavenly wisdom those who are to chose
a new priest for this parish so that the one whom we receive
may be a wise and gentle shepherd of your people: ready to
serve us with joy, to build us up in faith and to lead us by
example in loving obedience to
your Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Amen
We are a Eucharistic Church - that is, the central focus of our worship is to receive Holy Communion together as 'the body of Christ'.
Our congregation includes many young families and ages range from the very young to the elderly.
Our main Sunday service (at 9.45) usually has a congregation of about 120. We are always pleased to see new people and if you have not been before and would like to visit, you will receive a warm welcome.
More information on our regular services can be found in the latest News Sheet to the left of this item.
The children have adopted the name of 'J Squad' and have designed this striking poster, the image of which will serve as our logo when promoting all future events.
We now split into two groups with children Year 6 and above going upstairs for a more age-appropriate J Squad session.
