Speak out on behalf of the voiceless and for the rights of all who are vulnerable.’ (Proverbs 31:8)
It is essential that we, at St Peter and St Paul, endeavour to provide a safe, secure environment for both children and adults to worship and encounter God, take part in organised activities and raise concerns without fear.
Although there are members of the Church Family who have particular responsibility for the establishment and maintenance of this environment, it is the duty of all of us to be vigilant in identifying and reporting instances of unsafe practice.
I would be happy to discuss concerns that anyone may have.

A programme of safeguarding training is available on-line through the Diocesan website (www.chichester.anglican.org) and it is recommended that the C0 level of training is useful for all as it raises awareness of the need for safeguarding strategies.
